Printing Services

The printing services offered at SBS/Carbon Copy are quite extensive. We offer basic design services on-site and partner with 4 free lance graphic designers for more complex designing jobs. We have staff trained in copyright law and can often secure permission to reproduce copyright protected material within minutes. The majority of our printing equipment is manufactured and serviced by Xerox Corporation. For black ink copies and digital prints we employ a Xerox 4127 Enterprise Printing System with FreeFlow Print Management that is capable of 10,000 copies/prints per hour at 2400x2400 dpi resolution. Online the machine can produce a squarefold booklet that is very professional and looks like a paperback book.

Full color digital prints and copies are produced using our Ricoh Pro C550Ex. The Fiery Rip system that is hooked up to the machine allows us to spot color match single color prints for those who require exact color reproduction. Even without the spot color matching, our clients have been very happy with the accuracy of the color matching their original design. The Ricoh can also do online full color booklet making, which makes for excellent quality full color brochures, catalogs, guides, and newsletters to be printed within a demanding timeframe.

Both the Xerox and the Ricoh can handle a wide range of paper sizes and weights. Paper as small as 4 inches all the way to 19 inches can be printed in black or full color. Paper weights vary from very thin 16-pound bond to 140-pound index stock. We also have unlimited job storage so you simply need to call or e-mail us and we will run your job from memory and ship it immediately via UPS.

We at SBS use a Xerox 6204 wide format copier/printer for your oversized black and white printing and copying. Both prints and copies can be up to 36 inches wide by 20 feet long. The 6204 is also a large format black and white scanner, which comes in handy for the customer who prefers to email clients or prefers digital storage of their files. It is very common for our clients to e-mail us a set of blueprints in PDF format and have them printed in under an hour for pickup.

We now offer wide format color printing and scanning!

SBS Carbon Copy is now offering wide format color printing, 24 inches wide by any length. The machine we utilize for that is an Epson 7700, which is also capable of large format color scanning.

At SBS/Carbon Copy we can finish what we start. Our bindery offers basic stapling, booklet-making, spiral binding, comb binding, adhesive binding up to 350 sheets and even short-run hard cover binding. We offer paper cutting, hole drilling, corner rounding, collation, padding, shrink-wrapping, 26 inch lamination and a variety of folding options. Our color copying service is exceptional and rapidly growing based upon service, capabilities and reasonable pricing. We produce full color copies in the three basic sizes (letter, legal and ledger) and can print onto 12x18 inch stock to produce 11x17 inch posters printed to the papers’ edge.

Printing Capabilities

We produce prints utilizing a Xerox Docutech Laser Printer which operates at 135 impressions per minute with 600 dots per inch resolution. We can either scan your document with our Digipath Scanner or accept your document electronically in Postscript or PDF format. For full color prints we use our Ikon CPP500 Laser Printer with a speed of 50 prints per minute. Because of the exceptional productivity of our equipment we can offer 24 hour turnaround on jobs of 50,000 impressions or less. The vast majority of jobs we produce are completed the day we receive them. Our superior productivity also allows us to keep our pricing very competitive.

Bindery Services

SBS/Carbon Copy offers a wide range of document binding services from simple stapling to hard cover binding of up to 350 pages. We offer many finishing options such as folding, spiral coil binding, comb binding, booklet-making, laminating up to 26 inches wide, thermal adhesive binding, hole drilling and paper cutting services. We finish what we produce.

Paper And Office Supplies

Our Paper Mill Division stocks over 250 different sizes, weights and colors of paper which we sell by the sheet, ream, carton or pallet. If we don’t stock what you need, we can usually get it within one day from our distributor in Portland. Office supplies and furniture are available at our 2500 square foot retail store or overnight from the largest office supplies distributor in the United States.

Other Services

At SBS/Carbon Copy we also offer copying of oversize documents up to 36 inches wide by 20 feet long. We have on staff several people trained in copyright clearance and can often secure the right to legally copy documents for our clients. We also have vendor relations with other printers to produce business cards, envelopes, letterhead, screen printed binders and portfolios, banners, raffle tickets and almost any other printed item you may need.
