Submit A Job

You may submit files to us using several different methods outlined below:

YouSendIt Dropbox

You can securely upload documents to our YouSendIt Dropbox. Files can be up to two gigabytes each and you can upload five files at a time. Click the link above or the image in our sidebar to go to our YouSendIt dropbox.

In Person

Bring your job to us at 54 Main Street, Waterville Maine, on a flash drive, floppy disk, CD, DVD, or a 100 or 250 MB Zip Disk.

E-mail

You may attach your file(s) to your e-mail. Most Internet Providers limit sending 5 megabytes or less. This might work for files less than 5 megabytes. If you have several files, or one over 5 MB we suggest you use our YouSendIt dropbox to submit your job to us as an entire folder.

File Formats

PDF files are our preference. We also prefer the files to be ready to output. We can accept files in the formats listed below. PDF files can be created with Acrobat Writer or Distiller, not Acrobat Reader. Do not downsample or compress anything when creating PDF's for output. Make sure all of your fonts are embedded. When sending Pagemaker or Publisher files, make sure all linked graphics are included (do not embed graphics in the file).

Microsoft Office Professional 2003 - We do not recommend Microsoft Word files, but will accept them*. Listed above are our applications and versions we support. If you have an earlier version we should be able to open your file with no issues. If you have a later version you must save the file as an earlier version or we will not be able to open your file to print it.

*If you have Office 2007, and are saving your Word document, please make sure it has the extension .doc, not .docx. A .docx is only readable by Office 2007, which we do not have. We will also accept postscript files but need to know all printing details as we can't open them to see them.

Graphic and Layout Requirements

All Bitmap or Line Art Images should be 600 dpi and sized at 100% in your layout program. All Color and grayscale images should be saved at 300 dpi also sized at 100% in your layout applications. We feel these guidelines will reproduce your job at the highest quality you have come to expect from SBS/Carbon Copy. If your job is not saved with these guidelines please let us know when submitting your job. For example "My graphics came from the internet...".
